Ouistreham is a wonderful and underrated town. It has great restaurants, nice walks close-by and a fantastic beach and Promenade that goes on for miles.
A good way to start is right at the eastern end, where all the action is. Playground, some rides for kids, vendors, a couple of restaurants and the "Grande Roue" - the ferris wheel.
From there you walk along the wonderful Promenade to the west. For a short stretch it's made out of wooden planks, but still easy to walk on and no problem with a stroller. Later on it's paved It's a beautiful, wide and long stretch of beach here.
Along the Promenade you will pass several WWII memorials. Very interesting and informative if you're interested in history. This is the Normandy and WWII is an important yet sad part of its history. If possible, take some time to check these memorials. The "Monument Français Libres", the "Monument du N°4 Commando" and the "Piper Bill Millin Memorial".

Surely a must-do when...
