Plage de Grande Anse d’Arlet is a beautiful beach worth visiting, though it comes with a few challenges to keep in mind. Stretching about 1 kilometer, the beach offers stunning views and a relaxed atmosphere, but its narrow width—approximately 15 meters from the water to the property lines—means shade is limited. Unlike some other beaches, there’s no tree line providing natural cover, so plan to bring your own sun protection.
The beach can get very crowded during high season, and parking is a significant issue. The few available spots fill up quickly, and navigating the narrow roads can leave you trapped in a dead end. Arriving early or using alternative transportation is highly recommended.
On the bright side, there are several excellent restaurants and services along the beach, adding convenience and variety to your visit. Snorkeling can be good at certain times of the year. While I only saw small and medium-sized fish during my visit, it’s possible to catch more exciting sights depending on the conditions—like turtles.

L’Anse d’Arlet est un véritable bijou martiniquais. Entre le charme du petit village avec son église face à la mer et la plage bordée de palmiers, on se sent tout de suite dépaysé. L’eau est limpide, parfaite pour le snorkeling : tortues, poissons tropicaux, coraux… c’est un aquarium naturel ! Ambiance tranquille le matin, un peu plus animée l’après-midi, mais toujours agréable. Il y a aussi de bons petits restos les pieds...

Je suis du Nord Caraïbes et en vacances, on a de quoi y faire mais j'avoue l'eau claire, la plage à perte de vue aménagée sur une partie par des bars et restaurants presque les pieds dans l'eau c'est magnifique 😎
