That was the best glass of wine in my life!!! It was a very difficult to make an appointment, even for me - sommelier in London. More than 30 e-mails. But on the finish, it was worth it all my efforts. It is a crème de la crème of the World’s Red Wine Kindom. Interesting tour and amazing taisting. I was very disappointed when I saw a bottle of 2007. I've even made a stupid coments about this vintage. But after taisting I changed my opinion. That was a pick for this Milesime and the best glass of wine in my life.

At the famous Château Margaux, "premier grand cru classé" according to the official classification of Bordeaux wines of 1855, which shares this rare distinction with Château Lafite Rothschild, Château Latour, Château Mouton-Rothschild and Château Haut-Brion. But this nectar is no longer what it used to be, with more than questionable winemaking and production techniques using pesticides in abundance, more than is reasonable!

On the tour we took in the Bordeaux region, this city, Margaux, was certainly the one that impacted us the most. The Medoc area is, without a shadow of a doubt, very welcoming and chuffed. In this iconic terroir visited, Château Margaux will undoubtedly remain in our memories. Make your reservation in advance, otherwise you’ll find yourself left high and dry during the tour. Cheers🍷

My heart believes this is one of the most special places in the world. How could anything be any better?

If you're fortunate enough to receive a tour of the property, then I'd encourage you to enjoy every moment. The recent completion of their 2015 renovation creates the perfect blend of "old meets new" throughout the property. The steel vats are powered by the world's best in cutting technology, while their in-house barrel making team is using identical technology from over a hundred years ago.

Very first time I experienced their wine was in 1983. Purchased a bottle of 1978 Chateau Marguax Marguax at a restaurant for dinner. I was absolutely stunned as to how marvelous it was. Continued to buy it until 2003 when I bought case. I shared my last bottle with a close group of friends in 2009. It was still fantastic! Would love to buy more, but it's out of my price range now.
