Even in January twenty-twenty when I visited this bishopric palace and its beautiful garden it still looks outstanding in a French style garden settings. The rose beds are of course bare but it's outlining boxwood borders still give it its definition. It's akin to a bishop's miter when observe from the palace balcony. It's framed by the palace balcony and corridors/verandah and the Gallo-Roman ramparts making this an euphoric ambience of absolute tranquility. It's accessible from the street or from the central courtyard of the cathedral. A most desirable space to sit and imagine what it was like when only the bishops and the religious order can access this now public space. Absolutely worth visiting and suitable...
