Laduree, well, who doesn't know Laduree. It's a famous and a dessert legend. But I read through the review here, apparently it's the not the first time people commented about the staff here. There were 2 ladies at the counter. They didn't bother to entertain you. Gave the cashier one Note of 50€, 5€ and 1.5coins, as my bill is 16.49€. I was expecting to have a change of 40€. But I waited nothing until I asked her. She returned me a penny 😂. I got shocked. I think she has to pay more attention and be concentrated in each service. She was asking me if I did pay 50€ note, and if I'm sure. I didn't want an argue and told her please check the camera, twice. At last, she said it's not for her, it's for her colleague and she chose to trust me. Huh? You didn't pay attention at your job and you said you trust me? I just left after I got my macarons and exchange.
I think, perhaps we can get a cashier machine like the one in down town. So that the machine knows to do it's job compared to her.
Anyway, the Laduree Macarons always a legend ! And I love the icon on the...
Read moreThis place is gorgeous. It draws you in like a moth to a fabulous light. The displays are gorgeous. The macarons are gorgeous. The boxes you can put the macarons in are...you guessed it...gorgeous. I did not mind waiting in line because that meant I got to soak in more gorgeous just standing there. The have an abundance of flavors and some were unique ones I had not heard of before, so of course I got those. I love it they even have floral flavored macarons. This place knows my heart. The ones I got were so delicious, though my hubby and I both agree the Licorice macaron does not really taste like licorice, but it still tasted lovely so no real problem there. They have basic to fancy eat gold and silver macarons (literally). It was worth the splurge! I believe the basic cost 2.25 euro each and the gold covered were 5.50 euro each, maybe? But my memory might be wrong. Go get...
Read moreHad a layover at the airport so decided to splurge and get some macarons. The lady at the counter wasn’t necessarily friendly and almost seemed upset that there was a small line. I didn’t know they would be THAT expensive. It would have been totally worth it if they were exquisite, however, some of them weren’t any better than what I could get at a regular bakery. It could have been my fault since it does say to keep them at a certain temperature and I took them on a long flight back to the US. The flavors were good and I think the raspberry was my favorite. I like that they included a guide so you can remember what kind you have. We enjoyed eating them but not sure the price was worth the product. Also not sure if they were marked up even more since it was in the airport. I’ll try them again as soon as I buy them (and not waiting) to see if there is...
