Rooms - rooms are quite nice. very clean, very nice. lots of french TV - sorry those from the U.S.! :) the bathrooms are very large and nice for french standards but the door - well, let's just say there is a slight lack of some privacy there.
The service - very nice, kind folks. enjoyed the service here. thanks to Emmanuel and Kylian at the bar for taking care ofus.
The bar/restaurant - restaurant opens at 7pm, but the bar in the lobby area has a snacking menu available. dont let the phrase "snacking" throw you off - it was hamburgers and fries, full pizzas, chicken strips, etc. after 11pm there isnt much in way of food at the airport terminals or this hotel - but there is a market with small salads and sandwiches available. plan accordingly with your food needs.
Getting here - the CDGVal is convenient. there is a slight walk after getting off - you'll be outdoors doing this - so keep that in mind with winter, rain, and summer heat. the Val takes you into T3 where you can easily connect to the RER to get into Paris. (learn the difference between express and local - as express runs straight to Gare du Nord and saves time). RER runs to Gare du Nord, Chatelet and Notre Dame stops - where you can easily connect to metro or other RER lines to hit the greatest hits. Eiffel Tower and Montemarte - probably 45 min to 60 minutes one way.
It's your best interest here to get a Navigo 5-zone one day pass.
So pick your poison. This location is an hour each way to/from central Paris - the rooms are clean and nicer and more "U.S. style." You'll save a substantial amount of money - perhaps - on a room here - but could up losing that advantage in transit costs. Hotel rooms are quiet and comfortable but you lose the feeling of being "in Paris" and having that advantage of hearing the noises, sounds, sirens, and walking out of your hotel and being on the Parisian streets and visiting the sidewalk cafes...
Read moreThe WORST hotel staff EVER! We booked a room in this hotel, specifically stating we were 4 people. When we got to the hotel, the RUDE receptionist, Enzo, told us it only fits two people. There was a group behind me who were also Arab (like me) and the receptionist, Enzo, repeatedly spoke to me as if I was lying about the number of people I had with me when i told him I was not with that other group. He then pointed to THEIR luggage and asked ME how i will fit that into one room. I told him for the fourth time that those are NOT mine and that group is not with me. I had my brother and two kids only. He made me out to be a liar in front of all the guests in the lobby until the other receptionist started helping the group behind me. I then asked him if he finally believed me and without even regarding me, he said “yes” as if he did not make me out to be a liar and was completely rude and disrespectful. This is a hotel that has a lot of travellers come and their staff should know that just because two groups speak the same language does not mean they are together. I had to pay for a second room even though we booked the first one for 4 people. When i went to check out, the different receptionist the next day was about to make me pay for BOTH rooms again when i had already paid for the first room when it was booked online. If i hadn’t been paying attention, they wouldve taken the payment for the first room a SECOND time. I explained to that receptionist my experience and he assured me that the manager would know and they would reach out to me and give me back whatever i spent. No one reached out. Completely unprofessional and rude. That receptionist, Enzo, should go throuhh training again and have someone teach him how to treat others, especially those who are not of the same culture as he is. Will NOT recommend this...
Read moreCourtyard CDG Paris Central Airport is the most horrible hotel I have ever been to in my life. If someone tells me my valuables can be stolen right inside my hotel room at this seemingly modern and fancy looking hotel, I won’t believe it. But it is absolutely true. On Friday 09/12/22, we missed our Air France connecting flight to Abuja, so the airline booked us into this hotel until the next available flight which was in two days time. In the morning, we went out and came back to find all valuables valuables left in the room gone! Laptop, airpod, chargers, a book I was studying for my upcoming exams, and my jacket. It still feels like am in a dream and that I would wake up to see that my items were somewhere safe! If for any reason you happened to be a guest at Courtyard CDG Paris Central Airport, please ensure you take good care of your valuables, otherwise I can assure you that it will be stolen. And the hotel’s Director of Operations, Nicolas Dubas and his staff will initially deny that you kept your items in the room. Later, if you threatened to go to the police, they will offer to investigate and when they are sure you are left France, they will send you some half hearted apology email and advised you to claim compensation from your travel insurance. The fact that theft of items could happen right inside a guest room is enough a red that guests' safety and security is highly compromised in this hotel Courtyard CDG Paris Central Airport may look new, fancy and modern, but it has surely left me with the darkest memory of Paris! I still can’t imaging that I will never again have access to my cherished HP specter laptop and pictures of the precious moments of my life: memorable moments: our wedding, our kids’ important milestones and the only word version of...
