The Fragonard Perfume Factory, located in the picturesque town of Grasse, France, offers a truly unique and enchanting experience for visitors. As one of the oldest perfume factories in the region, Fragonard has been crafting exquisite fragrances since 1926 and continues to uphold its legacy of quality and innovation.

Upon arriving at the historic factory, guests are greeted by the sweet aroma of flowers and perfumes, setting the stage for an immersive journey into the world of fragrance creation. Knowledgeable guides lead visitors through the various stages of production, from the selection and processing of raw materials to the delicate art of blending and bottling the finished scents.

The Fragonard Perfume Factory also houses a fascinating museum that showcases the history of perfume-making and the intricate methods employed by master perfumers throughout the ages. Here, visitors can explore an impressive collection of antique perfume bottles, vintage advertisements, and perfume-making equipment that highlights the evolution of the industry.

In addition to the factory tour and museum, Fragonard offers a unique opportunity for guests to create their own personalized fragrance in an on-site workshop. Under the guidance of a perfume expert, visitors can experiment with various scents and discover the perfect combination that reflects their individual tastes and preferences.

A visit to the Fragonard Perfume Factory is an unforgettable experience for anyone who appreciates the fine art of fragrance creation and is interested in delving into the rich history of perfumery in the heart of France's perfuming...

I did the mini Parfum Workshop at Fragonard in Eze. The way it was described on the website, I was looking forward to 45 min of learning about combining different smells and then (because this is the meaning of „personal“ perfume to me) actually choosing from different essences to create your smell. Instead for the bigger part of the workshop the huge group listened to the same speech about the factory like the one you get on the free tour. Afterwards, we had the „choice“ of one smell (which I didn’t like) picked out for us and could only decide on the proportion of base, heart and top note. This then took me maybe 7 minutes to „create“ a 15ml eau de toilette (not perfume) which I will not want to use myself. In the end it was 15 more minutes just advertisement talk about the different skincare products… I was very disappointed, because I was looking forward to something like this a lot - which was why I decided to try again at a different perfumery. I ended up paying not even twice the price (58€, Fragonard was 30€) for 100ml (!!) of eau de parfum (!!) at Galimard. With this workshop we had two hours to choose from over 100 essences. Apart from being really happy because I really was able to compose my personal favorite smell ever with the help of the staff there, it was also just a blissful experience itself in a smaller group and less...

The English tour by Italian lady started off good, it was very short but interesting. Then it went downhill, lengthy pushy sales pitch afterwards telling what is the discount buying a larger pack, what is the discount if combining different fragrances, what is the price for every single item. Bear in mind nobody in the tour asked and others around also looked to be slightly taken back by all the cost information. Then we tried to walk around but the guide kept coming and offering product information, depsite we politely declined multiple times already. I wonder what is the commission the tour guides get because I have never encountered anyone being this pushy before. Unfortunately we left without buying anything although the fragrances were wonderful because we were not able to explore the shop at our own leisure. Great concept but very bad...

The visit and perfume making is worth it. You can only reserve online, however. We were able to reserve online once there because they still had spots. Not sure it would be the case in the middle of summer. It was still very busy in October. Our guide, Magdalena, was amazing. Not only is her English impeccable but she conveys such pride to work for this family and maison. She was remarkable and the perfume making expérience is worth the stop. Their products are excellent. If you don’t know about them, you might find them expensive but once you know how they’re made, what goes in them and experience how they feel in your skin, you’ll become an instant fan.
