Is there a better time to visit a busy airport than during lockdown? Probably not as long as the weather is good. This park is a bit of a puzzle. On the plus side it is well maintained, very well-equipped in the children's play area (Zip line, modern see-saw etc) It has a jet fighter, a nice pond, plenty of places to sit down, (avoid the geese!) a large picnic area, and a fairly big snack bar (closed at the moment). On the negative side, yes you have a viewing platform to see the planes but unless you are very tall you don't see very much and the razor wire fence discourages you from trying too hard. The car park is parallel to the park's only entrance and not very big. There is another green space, dog & picnic area at the western end of the park but NO way of getting to it without leaving the park walking about 1km to get there. Perhaps the gate is open sometimes.
