The most popular beach on the Island of Corsica is the Plage de Palombaggia, prized for its wide swath of soft, fine white sand and crystal-clear waters. The drive that leads to this idyllic stretch of beach is noteworthy in itself, with enormous red granite rocks and maritime pine trees adding to the coastal scenery. Because Palombaggia Beach is one of Corsica's finest, it can be crowded. Tourists could avoid the crowds by visiting off-season and still enjoy the wonderful sunny weather and stunning scenery. Palombaggia Beach lies 10 kilometers from Porto Vecchio, a historic fortified town with pleasant town squares, outdoor cafés, and a scenic marina.

Corsica has other beaches, too. Also north of Porto-Vecchio and not far from Palombaggia are the beaches of Tamaricciu and Santa-Giulia. The longest is at Calvi, where the sand stretches for several kilometers, and to its north, the little resort towns of Algajola and l'Ile-Rousse have long beaches, both connected to Calvi by a...

This beach is pretty hyped up around here, but to be honest, it didn't really blow us away. You'll definitely find at least four bars and restaurants nearby, so there's no shortage of places to grab a bite or a drink. The beach itself varies in width along its stretch, so whether you're looking for a cozy spot or a wider area to lay out a bit further from the water, you’ve got options.

If you're just in the mood for a quick beer, a drink, or maybe some ice cream for the kids, I'd really recommend hitting up the smaller stands tucked away near the trees close to the big hotels or standalone restaurants. Prices there are seriously like half of what you’d pay at the...

Really nice beach with white sand and cristal clear water. Not so comfortable to reach, only a few nice parking spots at about 15 minutes walk away, you have to be there before 10 am to hope to find one. Otherwise wild parking almond the small street that from the main road descends to the beach. A few small restaurants can be found along the beach. No public shower... As everywhere else...

Wonderful sand beach with convenient parking. Came at around 11 in the morning and it was not a problem to park car in the shade of pine trees. And parking is free! Beach itself goes alongside, walk further and it will not be crowded at all. Crystal clear and shallow water, stones to make insta pics, bars everything is there! The best beach for us visited in Corsica! Recommended!!!
