We visited at the recommendation of a local from Puerto Vecchio. Palm Beach seems to be the most upscale of the restaurants on this long strip of beach. At this south end, there are three places, and maybe the place next-door, Taramuccio is similar. Palm Beach is clearly looking for an upscale club type atmosphere, they have a large covered indoor outdoor bar and restaurant area, playing fun dance music music, as well as nice tables on the sand and rental chairs. All covered with nice umbrellas and everything looks very new clean and shiny. They have an extensive bar and you can spend up to $500 on champagne, with an incredible variety of cocktails, wine list, etc. All very Pretty, with the wood-burning pizza oven ( we had one, very good) . Good looking fresh fish on ice and a live lobster tank, even Dry aging their own beef. Our waitress was very nice and spoke good English. They also have a small boutique. We came in late May and it was pretty quiet maybe a third full on the beach side. There is a huge parking lot with no charge, And we just walked up to the beach through the complex. If you get a drink or some food, I think you can just park for free. ( although no one really checked ). Nice bathrooms too and a little boutique. we were really lucky to find this great place. It’s probably a little pricier than some of the other, mid range options, but for our needs it was an exceptional find. There seem to be some street parking a bit farther from the beach and north of Palm Beach. They were plenty of people on the beach, not in our restaurant sitting. And further north at the main area of Palombaggia there are some more...
Read moreIt started OK but ended pretty bad. First, they didn’t let us take the sunbeds closer to the sea, saying that they are booked, but no one showed up during our entite stay.
We were two people, the host told us the sunbeds and umbrella are 20€, we said it’s fine. We ordered a bottle of blush wine, also ate full course lunch menu for two at the restaurant. Then the weather got really bad, we wanted to leave after a total stay of 2-3 hours, and we never had chance to swim as well.
While I was expecting the facility not to charge any money for sunbeds as a gesture since we couldn’t spend whole day there and since we already spent a lot money with the lunch and the wine, I was shocked to see that they charged 20€ for sunbeds for each person. He clealry didnt say it in the beginning.. I talked to the manager but he was very rude..
So not...
Read moreGreat location on one of the greatest beaches Corsica can offer. We’ve been lucky enough to get a table on the first raw as we arrived early enough. The grilled sardines were initially under cooked but they re cooked them up to my taste without any fuss. Tartare steak was on good to very good side... at least according to my liking of hand made ones. Dessert of the day was around Apple and made by a dedicated home chef. Very friendly staff all the way that didn’t push us out though I’m sure plenty of people were asking for it as soon as our dessert arrived. Cherry on the cake: they offered us a digestive liquor. It seems quite a successful habit of the house as tables around us were...
