So i wouldn't normally choose a venue like this. I always believe there is a hotel or similar over camping and then normally at or near a golf course!!..........However, this was a trip to the Olympics in Paris. ||You wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere near Paris centre as travel to various venues was on the agenda. Also at the beginning we were seeing the equestrianism at Versailles so it was a great starting point.||Also it just wasn't me and my wife. There were 12 of us from various family's and ages from Teens to 60+||And also this isn't just "camping" as you can see from some of the photos on here and from other reviews. We stayed in one of the wooden structures on two levels, with a canvas roof. Totally waterproof (important as we had various storms) and felt very secure.||There were various standards of these and places to camp properly with a tent and motor home so something for all.||Our "hut" became ( i will admit to being a bit unsure when we got there but that was a personal thing) to my mind just perfect. ||All the kitchen facility's you needed (gas hob, fridge, plates cutlery, bedding etc) and as someone not used to "camping" you just adapt.||There was also shower and toilet and that was very acceptable.||Our Hut's upstairs sleeping area was just separated by curtains but for a family this was fine. We had friends in with us so at first this was a but strange but by the end ok and it worked. Other huts have separate rooms so check out what's best for you.||The facilities in the camp itself were great. There were 24h showers and toilets if you wanted a bit more privacy or wanted to go when you needed to use. The Pool area and other sports facilities were exactly what you would expect at a campsite and the communal area for food and drink was VERY good. ||The staff were excellent as well. Dealing with many nationalities and issues etc.||Especially for a family i think this is an excellent choice. The wooded area its in is great and you can get out and about easily as there is a train station and buses in the very nearby town of Porchefontaine.||I would go back both in a group or a couple as you have options, both your own and theirs.||As a base for the Olympics it was excellent. Check out their website for your needs.||I have only given 4 stars (very good) as i have little to compare to as camping is not what i normally would do. If this is something you do or are considering then defiantly a venue to look at, either here or at their other many locations.||Thank you Huttopia for improving my...

Read moreWhilst the location is excellent there are a couple of things about this site that not only disgust me, I cannot believe are legal (they wouldn’t be in UK). Should note I’m in my touring caravan. ||||-6m rule between units is non existent. Fire hazard.||||-toilet blocks are abismal, in my nearest block there 3 outside toilets (mixed sex) plus exposed urinals. I hate using them and 3 per block is no where near enough. Also there was no sink to wash my hands after using the toilet 🤢||||-my main concern is hygiene with the fresh water. ||I’ve been here a few days with my 10 & 14 year old. It’s always their “ job” to fetch water, which they’ve been doing.|||| But today I needed to empty the chemical disposal and I was pretty horrified to see that the fresh water is 1 tap with 2 hoses coming off it- it splits into 2.||||1 hose for drinking water; immediately next to that you have a small box with a lid that’s your chemical disposal (literally right next to your fresh hose); then you have the second hose that’s for swilling out your toilet cassette (there is a small sign saying this but it’s not that noticeable and children definitely wouldn’t).|||| ItS not that obvious that the chemical disposal is there- I was actually looking for it and I wasn’t sure if it was “it”; to think I’ve been sending my kids to get fresh water and they could easily have been using the toilet hose 🤢🤮 I’m speechless this is allowed. I think it’s a public health risk. ||||In addition the pitches are stoney dirt, they are horrible. I don’t know where all the nice reviews come from. It’s not picturesque whatsoever, although the reception area is nice and clean, as is the pool. The site itself reminds me of encampments where migrants live. ||||I’ve loved the location, and the fresh bread/croissants every morning are delicious but I would not return...
