El Templo de Augusto y Livia* en Vienne es uno de esos rincones históricos que te hace pensar: "¿Qué hace este pedazo de historia romana en medio de una plaza en Francia?". Allí está, con sus columnas corintias y su aura imponente, plantado como si nada desde el siglo I a.C., mientras los cafés y las terrazas modernas lo rodean como si fueran su guardia personal.

Lo que me sorprendió fue cómo se ha convertido en parte del paisaje urbano, con niños jugando a su alrededor y turistas posando para fotos como si estuvieran en un set de película. No pude evitar pensar que, hace un par de milenios, los romanos estarían celebrando sus victorias o haciendo sacrificios a los dioses justo donde ahora alguien disfruta de un gin-tonic del bar de al lado.

Para un lugar tan antiguo, se mantiene en buen estado, aunque parece que podría contar mil historias de todo lo que ha visto.
