Kongress am Park — Attraction in Augsburg

We have been there for a show. The staff is friendly and it is „cozier“ than the Olympic hall in Munich or the Deutsche Theater. However - The parking situation is terrible. The official parking structure is „temporarily“ out of order. It has been closed two years ago as well. The parking space at the Ulrich-Hofmeier-Street is small and always fully occupied. Your best shot is at the Parking structure at the railway station - respectively the on-street-parking in the urban areas close to it. The second negative point is, that they do not serve warm food before the show. This is definitely different in the Munich locations. If you go there after work and want to have a quick snack as dinner, you‘ll only get some sandwiches - the quality of these is - let‘s say - there is room for...

Im Gegensatz zu den meisten der Rezensionen bewerte ich hier keine spezifische Veranstaltung, da diese wenig aussagekräftig ist - das Programm ändert sich laufend und oft sind Shows auch nur einen einzigen Abend da.

Zur Location also:

es gibt eine große Garderobe, die recht zügig den Andrang abarbeiten kann.

Darüber hinaus zwei Barbereiche. Deutlich vor der Veranstaltung noch gut zum Anstellen, in den letzten 20 Minuten vor Veranstaltung oder in der Pause ewige Schlangen. Hier lohnt sich das Getränk für die Pause gleich vorzubestellen.

Toiletten - der ewige Grauß jeder Frau. Auf die 1500 Zuschauer kommen geschätzt 20 Damenkabinen im Keller. Die Schlange zieht sich bis ins Foyer. Schade, dass hier noch immer keine Abhilfe geschaffen wurde!

Der Veranstaltungsraum selbst - schön geräumig und individuell bestuhlbar. Klar sind diese Stühle jetzt nicht super bequem und Menschen mit kurzen Beinen dürften sich eher weniger erfreuen, aber ich empfand es als zweckmäßig in Ordnung.

Sound in der Location hat mir gut gefallen.

Insgesamt würde ich die Kongresshalle nicht als den modernsten und effizientesten Veranstaltungsort bezeichnen. Vorteil ist jedoch die sehr zentrumsnahe Lage mit dem Hauptbahnhof Augsburg in Fußnähe. Vor der Haustüre fährt auch die Straßenbahn. Es gibt ein paar nette Lokale fußläufig...
