Giant Cask — Attraction in Bad Dürkheim

The giant cask is a restaurant with unique indoor seating and a great atmosphere, and a large patio with outdoor shaded seating. The staff mostly spoke German but were very kind and patient with my attempts to speak in their language. The bathrooms were clean and have cool historical photos of the cask in the 1930s. We had an excellent lunch here. The food and service were top notch. After lunch, our server took us upstairs to see the huge banquet hall. It has pictures from the construction and first wine festival there in Bad Dürkheim, as well as a good view of the upper part of the barrel.
