Small but nice and modern city history museum. The Gelnhausen Museum in the former August School on the Obermarkt has been in a new look since March 2016: Huge glass walls, illuminated in haunting colors, flood the museum spaces in diffused light. Each area of ​​city history shows its own colour concept. In all areas there is a separate information level for children and families. All texts that can be found below waist level, are aimed at the younger museum visitors. Ein sehr gut gestaltetes Museum über Gelnhausen, das anhand der Stadtgeschichte den Kontext verschiedener Epochen erschließt. Der Erkundungsrucksack für Kinder hat meinem 8-jährigen Kind und mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht und uns durch das gesamte Museum geführt. Wir waren bestimmt 3 Stunden im Museum unterwegs. Wir haben dieses Museum besucht, weil uns die Playmobil Ausstellung interessiert hat. Diese Ausstellung ist wirklich sehr sehenswert.
