Came here today on an August 2022 Sunday afternoon before and after visiting the Burg Berg Under Vibes wine festival with another couple and our combined kids ages 6, 5, 3 and 2. This is basically a beautiful church surrounded by what look like castle walls with towers. You can enter the courtyard of the castle portion from two places, which were wide open arches accessible from the street, and then you're in a large park-like area with a fountain and a grassy expanse surrounded by the huge rock walls (which, by the way, have walk ways atop them that are minimally accessible). From there you can walk around the church and into the church, when open. The church itself is beautiful, with stained glass windows towards the back and beautiful organ components. The walkway around the church has some beautiful stone artifacts to look at, plus more of the walkway and wall to admire. We spent about 30 minutes having a picnic on the grass and looking around while our kids played on the grass and around the fountain. There is a road that goes through the courtyard, with some parking, so keep a close eye on your children. I did not see a bathroom on the premises, though I didn't check inside the church as it was closed when we went back after the festival. There were several benches near the fountain to sit and relax. A beautiful place I would never have found if not for the festival, and we enjoyed it very much! There is a massive free parking lot behind the church off...

The fortified church was really nice to visit if you’re in the area. Two parking areas by the church. Free to explore the outside. Right next to a winery, so can check out the church and then walk over to the winery...
