We visited at the end of hiking the Malerweg, and it was well worth it. The staff were so friendly and informative, and spoke excellent English, giving us a great overview of Robert Sterl's life and work. We were a bit unsure if the house was open as there isn't much signage, but if you just push the front door the reception desk is right there. It's only €5 and there is a discount if you have a Gästekarte. You can leave your backpack at the reception. The paintings are beautiful and the garden is too.

Really lovely house museum, of a painter that could really draw and paint - as he had academic training. The reception that Jens gave me is 5 stars as well!

Aus unserer Sicht ein ziemlich überbewertetes Museum. Gut, man kann einige Werke des Malers bewundern. Dafür einen Eintritt für 5 € zu nehmen, das ist schon sehr teuer. Dieser angeblich so tolle Ausblick aus dem Haus ist auch nicht so, wie wir uns das vorgestellt haben, denn es gibt hier umsonst wesentlich schönere Ecken mit tollen Ausblicken. Direkt an dem Haus sind keine Parkplätze verfügbar. Für mobilitätseingeschränkte Menschen so gut wie nicht machbar.
