MERKS MOTOR MUSEUM (nostalgia and vintage) — Attraction in Nuremberg

A really cool auto museum with lots of old car related "stuff". I wasn't really expecting much but I really enjoyed this museum. I'd go there again!

One note... Merks is located on the corner of Pirnaer Strasse & Klingenhofstraße - you can park at that corner to go into Merks. Or you can drive into the open gate there and park inside. For some reason Google Maps wants you to walk in from down the street 75 meters down. Just park at the intersection and walk inside.

Fantastic place if you are into vintage automotive. Was well greeted by the owner's daughter who took time to explain about the place, what they had and what the place was about. Awesome collection of cars, bikes and even old type writer and phones! Not the biggest museum but I spent nearly an hour here just to admire all the goodies. Worth more than it looks! More than a museum is a collection of everything. There are a lot of cars, but most are very recent, some piece is very interesting. Staging and information are not very curated, and all the collections (cars, moto, bykes, typewriters, boxes, modelling ships, telephones, etc..) are not too coherent each other.
