Michaelskapelle — Attraction in Rhein-Selz

This small chapel is probably one of the most impressive sites in Oppenheim. Its ossuary contains the bones (quite literally) of 20,000 of the former residents of the town. Ich bin kein Kirchenhänger, aber sehr interessiert in Architektur und Kirchenfenstern. Das sind die eindrucksvollsten Glasarbeiten die ich weltweit je sehen durfte. Ein großes Lob an Restauration und Kunstglaser! Die Akustik, gerade im linken Teil der Kirche, ist atemberaubend, ebenfalls der totale Wahnsinn ♥️ Schöner Zustand in hübschem Städtchen, ist einen Besuch wert. Eigentlich waren wir wegen dem Beinhaus dort, das ist auch sehr eindrucksvoll, leider fehlt dort am richtigen Platz eine ausführliche Beschreibung warum und wieso die Knochen dort lagern.
