It is a nice open air museum, ideal for hanging out with kids. Besides old farm houses, some century old machinery and centuries old tools, I liked the old Smith as well as the old school building. If you want to travel back in time for a bit, this would be a good place to begin with. I would love, if they would go the extra mile and engage in some actual story building for children. Maybe we could follow the footsteps of a (real or fictional) family for a day.

The cafe serves some basics and offers decent snacks. If you are not there for cakes, do not expect anything...

Well done, much to see, an acceptable cafeteria, lot of open space, the buildings are not crammed into each other - mostly because the place is as it was, and not like many other similar open air museums - buildings brought there and built next to others. Thus, it has a more natural atmosphere. It can be quiet (if there aren't many children about), and very relaxing. It did feel a bit like a time travel, which is, I believe, the main idea.

Been there twice in a month, and we'll be there in spring for sure, ar...

This outdoor museum does a great job of depicting the lifestyle of people who lived in the area years ago. I loved walking around in the garden and going inside various buildings. The cafe is also a pleasant place with lovely roses in front. I highly recommend this museum to everyone! It's a fun educational experience.

Leider nein. Hab ich all diese Sachen trotzdem gemacht? Oh JA!) Herrlich.
