How to spend 72 hours in Stuttgart 🇩🇪 My jam packed 3 day break in Germany has come to a close in collaboration with @Stuttgarttourismus & @stuttgart.uefaeuro2024. I loved delving into the city’s past & learning what’s to come. It’s a hugely accessible city, all easily navigated on foot & by public transport. Below are my highlights from my time here: 📍Sepulchral chapel Württemberg | 30 minutes outside the centre, situated in the heart valley & local vineyards. 📍Stuttgart “Fernsehturm” TV Tower | World’s first concrete telecoms tower built in 1954 set the prototype for many others around the globe. 📍Stuttgart Arena | Home of the VfB Stuttgart and soon the 2024 UEFA EURO™! 📍Mercedes Benz & Porsche Museum | Only city to host 2 automotive museums. The buildings are impressive as much as the many 200+ cars within. 📍City Centre: Stuttgart Library, Markethalle Shopping & Schlossplatz Ferris wheel | Using a 3 day metro card, you can pop around the city with ease visiting these three essential central spots. Really, you will like or dislike this place depending on if you like heights! That's its main feature! Parking was easy, though it was a rainy day, so not sure if it gets really busy on sunny days. You get taken up in a lift, from where you can then head on to the observation deck. You can walk around here and also head up another level by stairs. It was a rainy day, but the view was still good to see and I could imagine how impressive it would be on a clear, sunny day. I was in a large group, but we headed in to the cafe and the service was good, even though it was only one person - he did a great job! There is a gift shop on the ground floor, with quite a good selection of gifts. There is also an ice skating rink a 5 minute walk away, if you wanted to do something else as well. As above, liking our disliking heights will be the main part of liking this place, but even on a rainy day it was an impressive view.

1,5 star from 5 The view from the tower was disappointing for us. I'll start with the positives (there aren't many of them): the view is really nice. You can see the whole city and surroundings. Negatives: the restaurant upstairs is nothing special. Old and slightly dirty environment, the offer of drinks and food has of course an extra charge, but it is not even close to the price. The coffee tasted like it came from a petrol machine, the Apfelschorle was watery and tasteless. The price of €10 therefore only applies to the view, which does not correspond to the price in my opinion. To give an idea of the environment of the top restaurant, I am attaching photos to the review. I completely understand that the environment of the tower is not going to change easily and it has its old ways. I completely understand that the operation of the elevator and the whole carriage must cost something. However, I will definitely never go there the second time :)

Visiting the Stuttgart TV Tower was a quick, fun, and beautiful experience. The sleek design and impressive height of the tower immediately caught my attention. The elevator ride to the observation deck was swift, leading to a breathtaking panoramic view of Stuttgart. The cityscape, with its blend of modern and historical landmarks, was simply stunning. The vibrant colors and bustling streets added to the charm. I enjoyed learning about Stuttgart's history and culture through interactive displays. Time flew by as I explored different vantage points and captured memorable photos. Sharing the experience with friends made it even more enjoyable. Leaving the tower was bittersweet, but the memories will always remind me of this swift, exciting, and beautiful visit.

We visited here on a recent trip to Stuttgart. We could see the TV tower from our hotel window, investigated what it was and we'll fascinated by the fact that it was the world's first TV tower, and for a short while the tallest building in the world. A short train ride and we were at the foot of the tower. We didn't buy tickets in advance it cost about €10 for a pair of people to get in, the lift to get to the top took just a few seconds and we were greeted with some of the best views of Stuttgart. One thing to note it was incredibly windy at the top so make sure that you hold on to your glasses and any other loose pieces of clothing. We went up during the day but you can also go up to an evening where I'd imagine sunsets would be amazing.

With its 217 meters, the Stuttgart TV tower is the first of its kind in the world, serving as the prototype for many other TV towers. This pioneer is considered an aesthetic and architectural masterpiece, its timeless design remaining unmatched to this day. The Stuttgart tower sparked a global wave of tower construction. As you ascend through the belly of the TV tower at a speed of five meters per second, your gaze automatically drifts to the ceiling adorned with a starry sky made of lights. The ride lasts only 36 seconds, with significant pressure on the ears. There is free parking available for visitors, and atop the observation deck, there's a wonderful restaurant offering a magnificent view. Entrance fee is €10.5
