The museum has a very nice collection of ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and remains from Egyptian civilisation. The items of ivory from the ice age are very precious and takes us back to thousands of years. The guided tour in English was really insightful and interesting.
One of the best & the most interesting aspect of the museum is the collections from ice age. These rare items give an insight into the brilliance & geniuses of our ancestors who inhabited the area which is modern day Ulm, Heidelberg and around. I agree that it is a German museum so naturally everything is going to be in German (und ich kann Deutsch sprechen und verstehen), but for tourists, especially in the absence of a tour guide, some displays will be difficult to comprehend. The square outside the museum had David's head that weighed 5 tons and we clicked several good pics with it, and crossing over to the yard at the back, one can get great views of the whole old town. Visit on a sunny day and you'll make memories...
