Gaststätte Ammerschlag — Restaurant in Tübingen

This is a small little pub settled across with the door just on the other side of a small stream, built and in operation in one form or another since sometime in 1600. That alone is awesome.

It's a small bar with a few tables maybe holds a tight 30-40 people, but a comfy crowd is more like 20. Definitely an older local crowd with a small mix of the occasional college table from Tübingen. The bar is the destination for the local regulars, and I think shameless visitors as well.

Walk downhill through old town from the church and you're bound to stumble into it.

Good beer selection and most everyone drinks while rolling their own cigarettes. No one cared that I rolled a J at the bar. Of course be respectful and find somewhere else to toke up.

Eine der charmantesten Kneipen in der Stadt. Urig, gemütlich. Man muss damit klarkommen, dass geraucht wird. Das Klientel ist sehr vielfältig und man kann auch als allein kommender Gast Anschluss finden, wenn gewünscht. Essen gibt es nicht (von Knabberkram mal abgesehen).
