I want to express my Disappointment for not the place but for the people who work there. I'm a Mexican person and my husband and I went there to celebrate my birthday. At the entrance the lady at the front desk was more worried to let all the people in and not explain how this place is. She just told us " the cellphone in the sauna does not allow". (Understandable... Sauna) And that was it. Then my husband reserved a big dopple bed for us for a was not cheap! And as soon as we arrive a man yelling... This is a clothesless area! And behind us a lady with bathing suits... Seriously.... Do he have to yell at us? Ok then the bed was in a second floor... Beautiful and was in a corner with the sun above us... But we think ok... Lest meet this place at btw it's Gigantic and I remember saying to my husband open the umbrella... And he said.. no no we can wait...ok... When we return around 12 Noon the umbrella was gone and the place was super hot the beds are plastic beds and I felt like I was on the grill. So we went to the front desk to explain and the lady with a very bad attitude and looking at us like we were a big piece of a smelly thing.... Nothing that I can do. Sorry. And we ask to be change for another bed... No sorry everything is reserved you can go to the free places and stay there .... What?.!😒 We have no opportunity... Then we covered us from the sun with towels... But was extremely hot and then 3 lady's and a security man arrived yelling us again... Remove this remove it now!! And you are not allowed to have your phone here!!! And I say ok stop!! This is enough! We been yelling by you gays the hole day. First time here I try to explained about the umbrella and everything.. completely ignored 😓 And she and her other 2 girls just turned off and left The security told us... About the cellphone and that they have cameras and honestly I have photos we were not doing something inappropriate.... Again seriously 😒! At this time we were so unhappy and we left. Please people who work there change this. Many things that they overpass... Like you're not supposed to bring food and drinks and there were many people with coolers full of food and drinks... I don't know... The place is beautiful no doubt... The people who work there are...
Read moreOur idea was to have a chill and a relaxing day. Happen the opposite!!!!! We arrived there, the receptionist was really unfriendly and when we wanted to ask for some towels, she was completely arrogante. By that time they actually didn't have ANY towels or ropes available (still can't get why or how, I mean it's a therme) and we had to spent HOURS without any kind of "protection" or "warm up" . It is written on the homepage that they HAVE cloths for renting but apparently its not completely true. At that moment, was nothing available and we arrived there 30min after the opening (around 08h30 we were there). While we were going to the pool area, because it was cold outside and we paid (A LOT) to be there, the lady in the entrance from the pool called our attention telling us that we had to be there ONLY with a towel or rope because we booked a bed in a textil free area (so if you want to enjoy the whole therm zones, you automatically go to the textil free zone where you are not allowed to wear swimsuits) but actually was not our fault that there was no towels available so we had to wear our swimsuits.. After around 2Hours we made up to rent 2 small towels (which had a ridiculously high price for the deposite) but they still didn't have the ropes. Basically we paid to be there chilling from 08h00 to 16h00 but as you may see, the first maybe 4 Hours were spent thinking about ropes and towels and not enjoying. Unfortunately we were not the only ones having this issue. After we finally manage to have the proper "clothes" to be there, we tried to have some good hours but when this kind of things happen, its a bit hard to have a proper time, because it ruins the experience from the beginning. When the time to pay came, the lady told us to leave the cloths (towels and ropes) near the cashier in a plastic box and we did it in front of her and we specifically asked for her attention for that so she can see that we left everything there and for that reason the deposite couldn't be charged. Happened AGAIN the opposite. She charged us deposite!!!!!!! We left the therme with NO good memories, NO towels, NO ropes and of course NO money. And even after we leave, we still have to deal with it and request...
Read moreI have been to the Thermen & Badewelt Sinsheim a few times now. It's a bit like Las Vegas, nice to see one time, but I don't really feel the need to ever go again. But that's just my opinion, sauna fans will probably love this place, as it is one of a kind here in Germany.
Here's my personal list of pros and cons.
PROs: Friendly and helpful staff Large sauna, pool and outdoor areas with palm trees and other exotic niceties Themed events, and occasional adults only evenings Nice way to escape reality for a while Heated pool, steam bath, salt bath and enough sauna variations Play area for kids Outdoor pool area with nice view and reservable (but costly) loungers
CONs: How much does a few hours cost??? Are you insane?! At times too overcrowded, can be a bit awkward in the (nudie) sauna where it's either a choice of sitting skin on skin with a stranger or not going in at all People don't want to lose their seat or leave their drink unattended at the in-pool bar, especially on busy days... meaning you are probably swimming in a high concentrate of adult urine No separate pool for babies/smaller kids (see above) The in-pool bar and surrounding area smells so badly of alcohol Bringing in your own food/drink is frowned upon, which is a bit much to ask when the admission prices...
