We visited on Sunday 18th June and sat on the main beach which was fairly crowded but we managed to find a quiet section on the main beach to the left as you face the sea. It’s lovely here with shallow and warm water. There’s also a life guard on duty on the main beach and refreshments if you need it. Video is of the main beach. On both the far left of the beach and on the far right behind 2 equally huge rocks are a section for naturists. On the left you have to walk into the sea but only to knee height to access the beach however this makes it very private and I only saw one naturist couple on this beach. On the right you have to walk across some low rocks onto a second lovely sandy beach to go past the very large rock to the naturist area and because you don’t need to get your feet wet to access this beach I saw quite a few naturist couples on this beach. Towards the end of the day naturists were using both middle and far right beach. Still photos are of the naturist area to the left of the beach. The sea is lovely turquoise colour. Lovely looking taverna just set back from the beach. I would definitely go back to this beach but I would use the beach to the right as you face the sea because it was more accessible...

Avithos Beach in Kefalonia is, without a doubt, a five-star slice of paradise! From the moment you step onto its golden, soft sand, you'll be captivated by the sheer beauty and tranquillity. The crystal-clear, turquoise waters are simply inviting, perfect for a refreshing swim. What truly sets Avithos apart is its gentle, shallow slope, making it ideal for families with children to splash and play safely. Even if you're not travelling with little ones, the calm waters are incredibly relaxing. The beach itself is wonderfully organized, yet manages to retain a natural, unspoiled charm. You'll find plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for ultimate comfort, along with convenient showers. There are also two fantastic tavernas right on the beach, serving up delicious fresh seafood and traditional Greek dishes, perfect for a leisurely lunch with a breathtaking sea view. One of the most enchanting aspects of Avithos is the stunning natural backdrop of lush green hills and the mesmerizing view of the islet of Dias with its charming church. Keep an eye out for the protected turtle nests on the quieter eastern side – a truly special experience if you're lucky enough to witness...

Nice beach with a friendly beach bar that has drinks and sandwiches. There is also a couple of restaurants as you come into the beach by the parking area. The bar is fun and has music. The beach is sandy though as you enter has rocks (hence the 4 stars). It’s also a breeding ground for turtles which is fun sight. We did not see them but you can see the wild life group enclosing their area for protection. I still think it might not be the best idea to build up the beach as it might run the risk of deterring or ruining the turtles habitat for breeding but I’m no wild life expert. Fun all around. A blue flag beach which is great for everyone. Has sun beds for 10 euros which is nice or a large area to bring your own gear. The turquoise water is beautiful, clear and warm (we were here in august). The beach. As you enter the water it has a sort of W shape to the seabed so once you get past the 2-3 meters of rock it’s nice soft sand to walk on or just swim...

Avithos Beach offers a long, narrow, sand-filled shore with golden colors, along with gorgeous crystal-clear waters! Though it does have some pebbles at the very entrance of the beach, a soft sandy seabed follows, making it a relaxing swim with limited deep-sea rocks. Also, it can often be a temporary host to lovely sea turtles! It is a semi-organized beach destination surrounded by an abundance of sunbeds, parasols, and a beach bar that offers quick snacks and drink choices, playing upbeat tunes throughout the day! Rich vegetation can also be found right next to the shore, plus a few restaurants/taverns are also available within a short distance. Moreover, Avithos is best known for its mesmerizing views of the island of Dias and its small uphill church. Enjoy!

Avithos is a lovely sandy beach with soft golden sand and clear turquoise water — ideal for a relaxing day by the sea. The entrance to the water is gentle and gradual, making it perfect for swimming and especially great for families or those who prefer calmer seas. When we visited, the sea was beautifully calm and inviting. The beach is well organized, with comfortable sunbeds, a beach bar for refreshing drinks (I had an amazing pina colada đŸč), and a nearby taverna where you can enjoy a delicious Greek meal. There are even showers available on the beach, which is a nice touch after a full day in the sun and sand. It’s the perfect combination of natural beauty and convenience, making it a great option whether you’re spending a few hours or an entire day.
