Ok let’s get the show on the road so off we go hire car from our base Afytos area. From our hotel very short drive to the junction via a set of lazy traffic lights turn right signposted Kassandra follow this back road for around 3k then over the motorway bridge into the main double wide road passing three sets of traffic lights head out for another 2k and you will notice the road turns to the right up a slight gradient turn left here signed up Siviri continue along here for around 1k and pass the parked cars on the right because your not there yet !. At the bottom of this road turn left passed the restaurant and tat shop here you will see the main car parking area along with the delivery vans some old Greek man and women doing a 50 point turn to park up. Once inside the parking area plenty of room I add to say we parked under the many trees for the shade ... but beware the tree roots are exposed so for the ones who want to take the engine sump off ... happy days. Exit the car park go south a short distance walk to the front of the beach area it’s paved. Now its either turn right to sun bed city or has we do turn left to the quieter area. About 3 minutes stroll you’ll pass the super market green in colour on your left just after this you can take the blue matted walkway to the beach or step access a little further on. Ok ... beach sandy shelves in a bit can be a bit stoney depending where you access we found where the boats are moored on the sand quite accessible. It’s fair to say the water depth goes to around 5 ft deep then there is a sandy rise to around 3ft deep. Beach mainly sand both sides more than likely better access at sun bed city side (popular) end. Going back to the supermarket you’ve walked passed cheap coffee Freddo here 2 euros each so that’s a thumbs up. Plenty to do if you wander round after the beach there’s a fresh water inlet that has ducks quacking and geese honking at the sun bed city end ... you can traverse this by a spanned bridge. So enough of the directions and waffle we visited 3 times here ... well I’d recommend it ... replies on a...

Read moreIf you stay in Siviri it is understandable to go to the local beach, but it’s not a great beach. A bit mediocre as the beach is somewhat narrow, overcrowded and the entrance is pebbles and stip . Not ideal if the weather is a bit windy . It has the usual beach bars, but it is overcrowded and sometimes difficult to find free umbrellas. Free area is limited between the bars sun beds. There is a decent parking, limited shadow. I am not...
