Άλλο ένα ιδιαίτερο μέρος χαμένο μέσα στην παλιά Κομοτηνή. Το Ισλάμ είναι θρησκεία που δίνει ιδιαίτερη έμφαση στην ελεημοσύνη. Έτσι σε κάθε κατακτημένη πόλη, μαζί με το τέμενος, αναγειρόταν κι ένα φτωχοκομείο.
