Ierissos is a beautiful place where you can find peace and tranquility. The town is welcoming of tourists, even though there aren't a lot of them. It is small, green and clean. Ierissos has several taverns, fish taverns and restaurants. The Greek Art House is the best place to buy souvenirs. One thing I've noticed is that they don't have good gyro, but every person has a different taste. The sea can be very deep at times, so its best that small kids swim in the shallow part. It isn't salty at all. The beach doesn't have classic sand, it is more like small rocks. That is good, because they don't stick to your body easily.
