Ierissos is a beautiful place where you can find peace and tranquility. The town is welcoming of tourists, even though there aren't a lot of them. It is small, green and clean. Ierissos has several taverns, fish taverns and restaurants. The Greek Art House is the best place to buy souvenirs. One thing I've noticed is that they don't have good gyro, but every person has a different taste. The sea can be very deep at times, so its best that small kids swim in the shallow part. It isn't salty at all. The beach doesn't have classic sand, it is more like small rocks. That is good, because they don't stick to your body easily. The location of Ierissos may seem far away, but it is convenient as there are Masoutis and Lidl nearby and several beautiful beaches. I suggest you stay at Clair Studios if you're in Ierissos.

We like Ierissos for its sand that doesn’t murk up your feet and its clear water. On the public side, you'll love it if you arrive early in the morning to secure a good spot, and there’s plenty of beach length to find one. On the side with the few beach bars, you'll need to pay a premium for seating, with prices increasing from front to back, and some premiums can be quite high for the tight space. However, if you plan to stay for the day, that premium can be offset by food and drinks. The breeze always comes from the sea, so if you want to avoid second-hand smoke, you'll need to be in the front or hope that no one in front of you is smoking.

Nice beach. The sand on the beach and on the bottom of the water, until 10.00 to 15.00 meters from the shore is made of fine pebbles and above 15.00 meters is fine sand. The depth of the water is very high at 5 meters from the shore, about 1.70 m and increase significantly after. It is not recommended for the persons that do not know to swim. The price for one umbrella and two sunbeds is arround of minimum 8 to 10 EUR per day. There are showers and changing cabins on the beach and toillets at the bars. You will see the colors of the water in the posted pictures.
