Athos tavern — Restaurant in Aristotle Municipality

Athos tavern is nothing else than being under mediocre or"hit and run" the tourist if it comes to eat here.Situated between two other much better taverns ,Athos gave me a bitter taste comparable with the almost expired eggplant salad and overfried-dark brown -burned- in black oil -calamari they served me.I was waiting more than 50 minutes for 2 spaghetti carbonara and when l dared to ask hiw longer will take,a dusty,bored, nervous waiter told me that l have to wait as long as may take.Opaa,sorry that l troleu you on my expense! I left the place totally dissapointed and having an image of that waiter being a sort of Ulyses, wandering 20 years on the sea to come back to an Ithaki avoided by tourists. Greece is not anymore what use to be and a new wave of pandemic together with the expected new economical crises will force many greeks to change themselves or to face the Cyclop... Briefly,Athos tavern was a bad experience.Better go to...

The food was delicious and good made. The service need more practice. The timeline of the meal was not correct. The main meal was on the table and i had to wait over 5 minutes for the pre starters. The main meal was cold. I had to ask for the prestarters. Other guest who come after me get theire meal in the rigth way and before me. At all the service can only achieve 2 of 5 stars. Very pity. I saw the waiter in the most time from behind. The last 20 minutes i had nothing more to drink and nobody care it. Maybe next time better.

Was zwo days later a second time there..sit there 20 minutes nobody care it. I change my 2 star recession to a 1 star. I went after 20 minutes to the next Restaurant..they was very kindly and i got something to drink and eat. ...

The food was oily and the octopus had a slimy texture. The spicy shrimps were overcooked and even the tomato-based sauce they had was oily. Plus, the prices were like the nearby restaurants but the experince, the food and overall quality wasnt even comparable. I recommed, if you have tastes buds to not attend such an astablishment. The waiters sometimes forgot what we had ordered and asked us in the midle of eating. And, if what i said isnt enough to convince you, one of the waiters was kicking 2 cats to scare them off. The only reason I gave 1 star was because the bathroom was decent. To end this review i suggest spare your taste buds and...
