Absolutely horrible hospitality experience!
We were at the beach, this year they’ve added the 5€ surcharge for the sunbeds, but ok. We have ordered frappes (subpar, almost no milk inside, it takes great skill to mess up the frappe in Greece), 4,5€, increase from the previous year, ok. At around 3pm we had to withdraw with two small kids to the appartement, and since the beach was half empty we decided not to take the stuff with us. Usually we don’t do that, but given the emptiness of the beach (it was working day not weekend) we thought it wouldn’t be an issue.
The girls handling the beach informed us very rudely (they were sitting on the stairs that I was trying to leave the beach with a kid) that we can’t do that and they we need to pay again for the sunbeads if we were to return a hour later.
It’s not about the money, it’s about everything. We saw that others left the stuff as well but she told us that they will pay as well. Of course they won’t but never mind.
I don’t mind going to the other two beaches and pay the price for what I am using. Even paying more, out of spice as of this moment. But paying TWICE for the same thing…
Yesterday we came at 6pm for the first time and even since there were 5 people at the vicinity we were charged 5€ for beds (we stayed for an hour) and we continued ordering a round of drinks, because it is the vacation time of indulgence.
There was the time where Greece was for renowned for tourism and hospitality. You get a very mixed...

We rented 2 sunbeds and 1 umbrella, and when the sun hit, my wife moved under another umbrella for just 5 minutes – even though the beach was completely empty, they immediately asked for extra payment. Very poor service, a waste of time for high...
Read moreChalkidikis wohl schlechtestes Strandlokal.
