What an amazing hike, if you find it. We noticed on the other reviews that it wouldn't be easy and it wasn't.

Your best option is to drive to Niki's Tavern in Kyra. You can park your car there safely and drink something while you enjoy the view. The staff will show you how to get to the viewpoint wich is the start of the hike. If you don't want to stop at Niki's you should just continue the road, away from the city center of Kyra. After 100 meters you will the sign.

The hike itself is really amazing and worth al the effort. The hike trough the gorge ends on a road close to the town of Gonies. Here are the coordinats: 35,2205488,25,4463724. From there you can walk the same rout back or do like we do and walk to Gonies. There we walked back to Kyra via a gravel road wich is also quite nice.

We started our trip around 1 pm and were back at niki's around 4:15 pm. We walked slow and took a break every now and...

What a gorgeous gorge. This hike was really beautiful. We only met some sheep. And saw eagles, too! We were here in early january and it was muddy and slippery in some places but overall surprisingly dry. This is a difficult hike. Proper hiking boots absolutely necessary. Lots of stairs, very steep, slippery and even some climbing necessary. The round trip from the square in Kera took us approx 2,5 hours, it’s 6km. I think it’s better to go from the upper entrance, it seems there’s no place to park near the lower entrance. We parked on the parking lot just outside the village and went back to the square. there are signs and if you ask someone, they will show you the direction. You can also take your car closer to the entrance of the gorge. When you leave Kera, after a little while you will see a wooden sign on the right side...

Great hike, lovely views, goats and vultures :) We left the car just outside Ano Kera on a little carpark and walked from there. You can easily reach the entrance and the first viewing point where the trail starts. The trail is not easy but again not that difficult. It is about 3km long one way and drops about 300m. It took us just over an hour to the bottom and an hour back the same way. There was also a small parking place at the bottom of the trail on the road going south out of Gonies.
