Avra palm beach — Attraction in Municipality of Ierapetra

I am visiting Crete for more than 20 years but this is without a doubt the most unfriendly and hostile place I have encountered on the Island. We were about to sit on the beach chairs and order ourselves a coffee early afternoon. We noticed a woman having difficulties turning off the shower button on the beach and we tried to help her. Suddenly a blonde woman probably from the stuff came raging out and attacked us verbally and almost physically claiming that we intended to ruine the shower. Although we tried to explain our intentions she wouldn't hear and kept attacking us verbally. A really unpleasant experience and certainly a discrace to the local friendly community. If you decide to stay there beware of the blonde lady...as I red in other reviews looks like she is behaving like...

unfriendly and rude staff! specifically, a blonde lady!! if you read more reviews below you ll see that she was rude also to many other people! we wanted to drink a coffee on the beach but beach chairs and tables were stinky and gruesome!! ridiculous!! we tried to help an italian lady who wanted to shower her child and we got yelled because we were trying to unblock the shower button and before they even ask whats wrong they were hostile accusing us of damage! this "lady" was super aggressive and attacked us verbally and if we were not calm enough trying to explain what was wrong there would have been a physical attack for sure! as a Greek i feel i should apologize for their lack of hospitality!! they need hygiene inspection to close down asap! they ruin the natural beauty...
