Byzantine Museum of Veria (Beroea) — Attraction in Veria Municipality

A must for anyone visiting Veria. The museum is spread over three floors and showcases part of the local history. The icons in the collection are truly unique and, in my opinion, the most beautiful I have seen so far, especially due to their age, which is often several hundred years old. The Byzantine Museum of Veria is housed in a beautiful 1911 landmark industrial building known as the Mill of Mark and is located next to the ancient town wall. Beautiful artwork set in a really cool repurposed building. Clean & well laid out over 3 floors, wheel chair friendly. Lots of good English descriptions, but the very friendly staff helped with the ones I couldn’t read.
