This was the most unexpected and enjoyable stay in our visit to Greece. Before we arrived, we didn't know anything about Veria and its history. But when planning our trip, we saw that there was a synagogue on the site of one that had been built 200 years ago. And to our surprise, the hotel was right next to it!|Our room was small but clean, beautiful, and very comfortable. The decor was delightful and the bathroom, though small, was perfect. We had a room that overlooked the fast-moving stream outside and were finally able to sleep with our windows open and fall asleep to the sound of the water. It was wonderful.|We also decided to take the inn's breakfast, which was perfect. Everything was so fresh and clean.|Finally, our hosts gave us excellent directions to an excellent restaurant and provided us with maps and information about the area and its history. It is clear that they are very informed and proud of the history of Veria and restored the buildings that are now the inn with great care and love. |While it's a little out of the way, it was so worth coming to visit Veria and to stay at this...
Read moreWe stayed at eco living which was part of the three hotels runned by the same owner. This boutique hotel is situated in the most beautiful part of this city and it has the advantage of being by the river so we could hear the water and it was pleasant. The ladyhost was also kind and helpful. The room was nice and clean and the overall area decorated in style. Though to be fair aswmness lies in the details and our room didn't perform in this sense. Towels were too average so was the bathroom, so was the amenities in the form of one single big bottle all in one. Mattress was too soft, but then again some might like it this way. There was no small fridge which I found weird. Lastly breakfast was served in a quite nice room, but it was rather average and there was no decaf coffee option. Don't get me wrong we did like the place and we do recommend it it's just that we are too spoiled by other boutique hotels we've stayed at times and they scored higher in the things I...
Read moreThis hotel is set on the banks of the river, which runs through Beroia, a city well known in ancient times and in fact mentioned in the New Testament. Our room was clean, well decorated and comfortable with an excellent shower. You paid extra for breakfast but at 10 Euros each, it was certainly worth it (good and plentiful food eaten in a charming dining room). The staff were helpful and the location good (it's pretty central). Access is a a slight problem - if you are driving you have to negotiate a set of narrow, twisty roads and ours sat nav struggled to access the place. It's next two the old synagogue, which dates from the 1850s and, remarkably, was not burnt by the Nazis. It's certainly worth a visit for all sorts of reasons, not last the excellence and dedication of the guide. This is a good hotel from which to explore the Vergina tombs and other ancient...
