Wonderful museum for people that have an interest in knitting, embroidery, weaving and other related crafts. You get gloves so you are allowed to touch e.g. the embroidery and you get a nice history lesson about Halldóra, who did wonders for education for women. I don't reccomend bringing kids with you, there isn't anything for them to entertain with and many artifacts are not behind glass. If your spouse or/and family don't have an interest in this they can easilly kill time at the café that we drove by(ömmukaffi, havn't tried it), the local swimming pool or the playground close by.
