The waterfall is visible once you walk into the trail entrance. It's a nice place to stop. Near the waterfall there is also a bear-like statue made of fur rugs and a cauldron. After we admired the view a couple minutes, we attempted the green (easy) trail which was sort of hard to find because the trail marker stakes dissappeared after a while and instead socks pinned to trees replaced the trail markers. We saw some cute gnomes and socks and fun hidden characters along the way. However it seems to be a rarely traversed trail because at a certain point the trail was too grown over to continue, and the bumble bees were practically in our faces so we had to turn around. Fun while it lasted, just wish it...
Read moreThe fall was dried when we arrived there in August this year. But we hiked up the mountain. There is a beautiful lake on the top of the mountain. We took the trail just next to the falls where there are couple of benches. There are no signs near the falls. But we asked at the restaurant next to the falls. To really see the fall you have to walk down a trail (which is fine), but even then it's hard to see the whole thing. It would be better seen or photographed with a drone than by walking the trail. That being said, being spoilt for choice with waterfalls in Iceland, this one feels a little lesser just because of the magnitude of the others in the neighbourhood. I wouldn't go out of my way for...
