Laxmanpur Beach, located on Neil Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, is a captivating destination that blends natural beauty with tranquility. During my recent visit, I was struck by the pristine shoreline, clear waters, and serene atmosphere that define this beach.
Laxmanpur Beach boasts a scenic landscape, with soft, white sand stretching against a backdrop of lush greenery and swaying palm trees. Unlike more crowded spots in the Andamans, Laxmanpur offers a sense of solitude, making it perfect for relaxation and contemplation.
One of the beach's highlights is the breathtaking sunset views. Watching the sun sink below the horizon, painting the sky in brilliant hues of orange and pink, is a mesmerizing experience and a must-see for visitors.
For those interested in marine life, Laxmanpur Beach offers opportunities for snorkeling during low tide. The shallow waters reveal colorful corals, exotic fish, and other fascinating creatures, making it a delight for underwater enthusiasts.
While Laxmanpur Beach is primarily a place to unwind and enjoy nature, visitors can also stroll along the shore, collect seashells, or relax under the shade of palm trees. The beach has a few shacks offering refreshments, although amenities like restrooms and changing rooms are basic.
Accessible from Neil Island's main jetty, Laxmanpur Beach is well-maintained with clean facilities. Visitors are advised to plan their visit around sunset for the best experience.
In summary, Laxmanpur Beach is a hidden gem in the Andamans, offering a serene escape from the busy world. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photographer, or simply seeking tranquility, this beach promises a memorable experience with its stunning scenery, peaceful ambiance, and captivating sunsets. Read moreThis is a unique beach. It's less crowded than the other beaches and offers more for exploring. This beach is mainly known for viewing the sunset. There isn't any water activity here, it's more of a place that you would visit to relax yourself, enjoy the sea and bask yourself in the glory of Nature. The main attraction of this beach is the natural coral bridge that makes for some beautiful unforgettable pictures. You will also be able to see a lot of starfish in this area and if you are brave enough, you can even pick them up for a closer inspection. It's a very picturesque location ideal for a family outing. Children would love to be in this place. You will find some stalls in the area where you will be able to enjoy some local snacks and fresh fruits. While on your way back, you can check out some of the stores where you can collect some local souvenirs. I bought two t-shirts with different designs depicting the Andamans. There are a wide array of designs for you to choose from. But keep in mind to get one size bigger than you normally wear. I wear 'L' but the 'XL' that I bought felt like a regular 'M'. Also do check out the shells on display at the stores. You can find shells of all sizes and designs. There's enough options to collect some memorabilia for friends and family back home. Really nice place to be in. And oh, forgot to mention one thing. Do get some food before you explore this place. You wouldn't want to get tired before you can explore this beautiful beach. So remember, it's better not to reach here with an...
Read moreLaxmanpur Beach is the best spot to watch the sunset on Neil Island. The sunset was a gorgeous sight. I can never forget those moments I had while watching it. I can still relive them when I close my eyes. Sunrise and sunset happen quite sooner at the islands. It's best to be at the beach an hour before sunset. The lush green trees on the side of the beach offer travelers the opportunity to unwind and relish the serenity and nature's charm. Most of the trees that you would see on the shore of the Andaman Islands are a result of the 2004 catastrophic tsunami that stripped innumerable flora. The uprooted trees provide a unique touch to the landscape. It can get a bit crowded straight down the entrance. If you walk a couple of hundreds of meters to the left or right, you will be alone again. There are so many beautiful spots on the beach to capture some interesting photos. The beach was maintained well. I hope tourists help preserve the beach along with the locals. Parking is free at the beach. Be sure to drive a vehicle with working headlights as there are no street lights from the beach to the Village Road for a kilometer or two. I had an awesome time watching the sunset here. I would definitely visit this beach...
