This was an unplanned visit or rather should say planned it just before 1 hour we decided to visit this temple.

It's on top of a small hill. There are wide stairs to walk up the hill. At the foothill you can have darshan of Lord Ganesh. On top is Sri Ananda Lingeshwar along with his wife Parvathi. You can see the whole Bengaluru from the hill top. People say you can have a good view of sunrise from the top. Well maintained. There is footpath around the temple on the top and you can take stroll along gazing at the growing Namma Bengaluru. After darshan we had tasty prasadam. They served kesari bath, puliyogare and curd rice and it was good enough as dinner for us. There is rock on top which is like an elephant 🐘 sitting down. It has been painted to enhance its features.

Only problem is getting a parking place for your car. Even the road that leads to the temple that Google shows is not convinient to drive. If stuck, you can't even...

It's quite a nice and very pleasant temple/place. You won't feel you are in a metropolitan city. It's very quiet calm and clean place. I didn't find much people at temple or at hill.

You can see around 2-3 kms Bangalore view from the top of the hill. Entire Hill area is with big big rocks and surrounded by lots of trees. You can have a nice time with family. Easily you can spend 1-2hrs of time there.

You feel breathing healthy air at the top of the hill place. Where these days you may need to go away hundreds of miles for good air and good weather. At this place you get a feel of out of station feel.

Entire temple is surrounded by grilling and pathway. Also it has nice garden chairs to sit and spend your valuable time. And if are yoga person, it's a perfect place for your meditation asanas.

Overall you can make a plan for half a day. You really enjoy it if you visit this place early morning or...

Found this place online while looking for ancient temples in Malleswaram, Bangalore. This place is quietly hidden behind the colony of houses. Temple is situated in a small hill that has entry from 3 sides though only one entry is kept open. Temple itself was built during Chola period. Main deity is Shiva Lingam and there is also Devi's Sanctum Santorum.

You can a view from the top of the hill which is good.

Temple does not have dwajasthambam which is a little surprising. Overall, good...

Good Shiva temple within the city. Just near to Hebbal. The road to the temple is narrow and do not have any parking. Mostly the local residents are coming to the temple. It is like your local temple for all the great occasions. The pooja performed was really good and detailed. There are around 100 steps to claim up the small hill and it is nicely maintained. Very peaceful prayer. In car, better take road diversion from Hebbal to Palace Road not from the ORR. Bike is preferred to reach the place.
