And yes, today we see Robots performing many of the tasks just like Humans.
Robots now harvest, cook and serve our food. They are working in factories, driving our cars, and walking our dogs too.
If you want to see how Robots are used in a variety of sectors, then you must visit The Robotics Gallery of Science City, Ahmedabad. This robotics gallery has been constructed by Vadodara-based Cube Construction Engineering Limited.
At the entrance only, you will be awestruck if you are a fan of Transformers Movie just like me. I loved the beautiful replicas of Optimus Prime, Bumble Bee, and Wall-E robots.
Once you enter the gallery, you will see a reception Robot which is a humanoid with social skills. This Robot will greet you and introduce you to the facility.
Then you will be taken on a tour explaining the evolution of robots โ from a clockwork prayer mechanical monk built in the 16th century to humanoid and robots of today.
You will also find Interactive Exhibits on the ground floor where you can get your 3D printed or sketched a picture of yours by paying a fee- Rs.500/-
Each floor in the gallery showcases the utility and applications of robots in different fields including medicine, agriculture, space, defense, and their uses in everyday life.
There is a separate gallery for virtual and augmented reality space which you can access after paying an extra fee for that.
Also, I have heard that there is a Robo-Natya mandap where you can see a dance and music performance by a troupe of robots. These two places-I missed checking out personally because of lack of time.
On the ground floor of this Robotics Gallery, there is a cafeteria manned by robot servers. The cafรฉ is of 40 customers capacity. So, you may find a waiting line to enter the cafรฉ on weekends.

I ordered 1 plate samosa which costed me Rs. 100/- and two cups of tea- 40 each. My total Bill value was Rs. 180/- (just see the qty of tea).
Talking about the quality and taste of the food items served here- I am totally disappointed ๐. Samosas were stale and not properly cooked and tea was totally tasteless. ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฌ:

1 rating only because of Robot Waiters. Nothing more for this.
Sorry, but this is my personal opinion based on my experience. It may vary.

But I would say Robotics Gallery is worth a visit. The entry ticket per person is Rs. 250/-. A must-place to visit and explore the multitude of applications of robotics.
