When you have got a botanical garden this size, the potential is limitless. And Empress Garden does offer a large selection of plants and tress, but nearly not as much as it should. Taking to the man in charge revealed that there is a lack of manpower. Plants are not watered regularly. Most of the potted plants have weed growing. There is virtually no sign in front of any trees or plants, something which is a must for all botanical gardens. I really hope that this place turns around because once again, the potential is enormousBotanical gardens in Ooty has a great variety of flora and the way it has been structured is great for visualization. The glass house with great variety of colourful flowers is a bliss to the eye and makes for a visual treat. Grass lawns are well maintained and pretty clean overall. The kids loved the place and had a great time walking amongst the flowers. There is map of India which is made of foliage which depicts all the state and union territories along with Srilanka. Uttamnagar garden also known as kamla nehru park is one of the most best garden in maninagar. if one wants to walk in the morning or want to exercise it is the best one where you are free to take fresh air in your lungs rather than the traffic on road when you come here everything seems to be stop.in evenings many families come here to spend there times with there kids or other family members. Many students also come here to read there books in noon as it is a very piecefull place here.the park is not that much large in size but however large from beauty point of view.there is a amul shop on the gate of the garden which provides tasty icecreams to the children also for kids many mini grounds are here so that kids can play with the rides and can watch the real world.here for old age persons garden provides setting area where they meet every morning and noon for gossips and felt heart to be free.thus overall it is awesome...
