During our stay at McLeodGanj, we decided to explore Dharamshala via the Skyway on our last day. Located conveniently in the heart of Mall Road, the Skyway offered a simple security check-in process, and we opted for a one-way ticket priced at Rs 450. Upon arrival, we were pleased to find that the Skyway was neat, clean, and well-maintained, reflecting a high standard of upkeep. The staff were polite and courteous, adding to the overall positive experience. We arrived in the evening and were delighted to find that there were very few people around, allowing us to enjoy the entire cabin to ourselves. The views from the Skyway were absolutely stunning, showcasing the majestic mountains, picturesque valleys, and the charming cityscape below. The ride itself was smooth and lasted around 10 minutes, giving us ample time to soak in the breathtaking scenery. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and a great way to explore Dharamshala. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

Dharamshala Skyway is absolutely a visual treat for tourists visiting Dharamshala ! The ropeway starts from the bus stand and takes you to mcleodganj within a span of just 9 minutes. And the scenery is worth the whole experience. I went on a rainy day but still the view was amazing and the skyway is super smooth in travel. It takes you on a good speed and you might experience a small bump when it crosses a connecting junction but it's not bothersome at all. The view is absolutely stunning and the carriages are kept clean and are maintained with proper ventilation slots. The prices of tickets are definitely on the pricier side but if you are coming for an experience, then it is definitely worth it. Definitely try it once ! I would not recommend it, if you have a fear of heights as the height increases massively as one goes up. It could be worrisome and getting help midway would just not be possible.

Amazing....it's such a great addition to the attractions in and around Dharamshala. This newly built 'Skyway' run by the Tatas is just too good a feature. One can just park their car at the station in Dharamshala ( parking spots are limited within the cable car station) and take a round trip to Mcleodganj, where it lands quote close to the main square. A pleasant walk is all it takes to reach Mcllo and the other places. And so, if one doesn't plan to go to Dharamkot, Naddi or Bhagsu then it's such a nice way to enjoy a day at Mcleodganj. We took a round ticket, went up, shopped around, had lunch and came back down, without any tiredness of the drive to and from dharamshala. I will definitely use it again and again and will recommend it to everyone to try it at least once.

We visited Dharamshala in the month of Feb 2024 We had stayed at McLeodGanj. On our last day for our day tour at Dharamshala, we chose to travel to Dharamshala via Skyway. Located in the middle of Mall Road, after simple security check in, they provide 2 options - One way ticket for Rs 450 while two way ticket costs 675 Rs. We reached around 11 am and had to wait for approx 10 mins. In a single cabin, around 6 to 8 ppl can sit. Since there were not many ppl around, we got a chance to have the cabin to ourselves (2 ppl). The views are amazing. Ride takes around 10 mins and we get to see the mountain, valley and city views. Nice experience overall. Once we reached Dharamshala, you need to walk slope to reach at top where all cars are parked in.
