Nice place to go with kids. Cycling is not allowed for kids. There is a playground for kids with half of the equipment rusting and the other half always occupied by grown up people. For walking in the morning it is fine but in the afternoons and evenings there are only a few places where you can go and move around with kids. Don't sit on the cement benches near the pond because I have seen couples using them for adult activities. Security is non existent and a few security guards can be seen taking money from couples. Morning there are yoga classes and laughing clubs. Toilets exist inside but don't know their condition. Some stalls exist inside at higher places. There is an option for pedal Powered boat inside.

Update: The walking area is not paved and not properly lit may cause serious injuries. These days the walking times and lanes are more packed with people leading to congestion at some points. There is an urgent need to widen the walking lanes. GHMC has constructed an open air gym with limited equipment. As it is free to use, there is always almost a queue to use even one equipment, forget cleaning. There is no option to call for help in the time of distress if no passerby is willing to come forward to help. The parking has no security whatsoever. These days the obscene activities have gone up with some couples almost doing it right within walkers view even in the morning times. With this, there is also an increase in gentlemen (peeping toms) in weird and hard to believe positions and postures trying to catch a...

Indira park is a pleasant place ❤️

Its one of few places where we can breathe our lungs full of oxygen as it is full of green trees, gardens, grass & flowering plants.

The park is lively and always filled with families students, lovebirds, elderly people, fitness freaks and has some secluded spots where it's filled with people who love to meditate.

The park has a beautiful pond at the centre with boat riding for couples and family and a small canteen is present beside the pond to have some refreshments.

The park is a great site for watching beautiful and chirping birds and lovely squirrels.

In the morning the park is full of visitors who jog, walk, exercise, meditate and do yoga. There are many people who take yoga classes in the morning. The park also has small gym exercise equipment.

There is also an acupuncture park where you can walk on a path set by little pebbles and rocks.

The park also had a children's play area where you can enjoy the playing equipment.

The park is very big and with attractions like Rose garden, rocks which resemble the animals and birds, some iron scrap made artistic mobuments, palm trees & big biodiversity.

Outside the park there are stalls of health drinks fruits vegetables and sprouts usually sold in the morning.

The park entry is now 10 rupees per head and two entrances are in.

The place is very peaceful with no disturbance at all and we can chat with our friends till the...

This is one of those parks which are left a bit wild instead of being massively manicured. It has a variety of trees and each season the park looks different. There is an upcoming rose garden with many varieties but needs more tending and a way for all of us to see closely. There are herb spaces too and interesting sculptures. The park is filled with parakeets and there is a feeding area where they come in droves. The park also hosts a large variety of birds and a treat to hear and watch them. Most walkers, runners and excercisers are polite and keep to themselves. But some folks are obnoxious talking loudly, running their mobile phone chants etc loudly. Humans are the noisiest creatures on planet. For those who are wheelchair bound, although a short distance through the park is easy and possible. Beyond that the road becomes dirt road and difficult to maneuver. There are plenty of seats in quick intervals plus grass to sit on. If you are using walker, it is easy to access this seat. There is a lovely little lake with fishes and birds that swoop on these fishes. Hands down it is my favourite park. Also don't forget to enjoy Emerald Mithai shop just outside the gate-- finest chemical-free sweets and snacks. Also Ramakrishna Math next door for a nice meditation. Just a gorgeous serene area

Nestled in a lush, scenic landscape, this park offers a delightful blend of nature, relaxation, and convenience. The highlight is undoubtedly the serene swan pond, where elegant swans glide gracefully across the water, adding a touch of beauty and tranquility. The park is well-maintained, with clean walking paths of 2km distance that wind through the green spaces, ideal for a refreshing stroll or a peaceful escape.Ample parking space. A particularly thoughtful feature is the drinking water facility, conveniently located to help visitors stay hydrated as they enjoy their day. It's a welcome addition, especially during warmer days. The park also includes well-kept restroom facilities, which are both clean and easily accessible, making it family-friendly and ensuring a comfortable experience for all visitors. With a perfect mix of nature's beauty and practical amenities, this park is a hidden gem for anyone looking to spend quality time outdoors. Whether you're there to watch the swans, enjoy a picnic, or simply take a quiet walk, this park offers a serene retreat that leaves you feeling rejuvenated. This park is free for joggers & walkers in the morning till 8 am. Adult ticket cost is 10 Rs.
