One of the park's prominent features is the Sundaraiah Vignana Kendram, a facility that provides a platform for various intellectual and political pursuits. This center facilitates the organization of meetings, discussions, and seminars that play a pivotal role in educating the public about important sociopolitical issues. From enlightening political classes to dynamic open debates, the center serves as a hub for fostering informed citizenry.
The park's layout itself promotes interaction and learning, with dedicated spaces like galleries designed to accommodate gatherings. These spaces are thoughtfully utilized by local communities and organizations to host events that promote dialogue and knowledge-sharing. As a result, Sundaraiah Park transcends its role as a mere green space and evolves into a vibrant educational arena where ideas are exchanged, opinions are voiced, and citizens are empowered.
This convergence of history, culture, and civic engagement makes Sundaraiah Park not only a significant landmark in Hyderabad but also a symbol of the continued pursuit of democratic values and the dissemination of knowledge. Read moreI have been a walker at this place since my childhood...it is very well maintained and its upkeep from time to time is very good. The crowd is active both in the mornings and in the evening. The active hours start from 5 :30 to 6:30 AM in the morning and 16:00 to 18:30 in the evening. There is also a badminton court annexed to the park and people play both in the morning and in the evening.
If you are an early riser and wish to jog b/w 6:00 and 7:15..it might be a bit difficult because there is lot of crowd especially the elderly who might not be comfortable with you running swiftly as they fear being tapped down.. apart from that the rest all is very fine..
Kids zone equipment is not that pleasing although there is a dedicated wing for them (beside the badminton court) so it will not be a problem if you bring in your kids.
The garden is very well maintained with trees all round the park and thought provoking quotes on the walls.
There are wooden benches around the park some in good and some in bad shape and also some concrete installations (in the shape of benches) ..
The only difficulty would be when it rains as it gets sloppy and muddy making the track very difficult to walk or jog!!
People are very warm and there is every possibility of making good acquaintances who can help you stay fit...
