Since my childhood, way back in late eighties & early ninetees, I used to come four-four thirty in the morning and finish three rounds of the then constructed boundary of Palika Stadium which had a chess board made of a marbled tiled on one corner of it's viewing gallery. Had also played matches when it used to be open to all. The lower field of brijendra swarup park is now developed into parshuram vatika which's extremely good for walking and playing with Lil kids. The Benajhabar side park used to used to be used by car and scooty learners and also for Handicraft Expos but now metro construction is going on there, however an expo is also on simultaneously. All in all, it's a nice park, right in the centre of the city and accessible to all. Palika Stadium's building is being reconstructed and it's looking very contemporary & stylish. If I get an opportunity today, I'll click and upload few photos as well.
Forgot to mention last time that this park has also been hosting the handicraft expo and many such fairs since ages and I visited one such today as well....
