Horrible experience:(- In the name of service, they are making money and also looting people. At the counter while taking ticket, we clearly mention that the are going to Planetarium, the person did watch that we were carrying camera, he did not stated anything and when we reach to the main gate, Security at the gate states to take a ticket for the camera and he does not state anything on rules. In this running, the show had already started. we ran inside, there another security check, and after few meters one more security comes and stated that we have leave our bags including all the bag (which has money & cards and other valuables) and camera bag at the counter (REMINDING YOU THAT WE HAD ALREADY PAID FOR THE CAMERA). When we questioned why we need to hand over our bags, the security called up some other employee and in the name of SERVICES, he asked to keep bag and camera at the counter. we Questioned asking why we have to keep. In meantime one security person comes and start arguing and in this argument, he pushes me. THE OFFICER ANY HOW STATED THAT THEY WILL SEE THE CAMERA WHICH IS IN THE PLANETARIUM ONLY AND TAKE NECESSARY ACTION.
THEY HAVE ILLITERATE AND UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE HIRED TO DO WORK.
THIS IS THE SERVICES WHAT WE GET WHEN WE QUESTION, EVEN THOUGH WE PAID EVERYTHING.
NONE AT THE COUNTER EXPLAINS THAT WE CANNOT TAKE BAGS INSIDE THE PLANETARIUM NOR THE SECURITY GUYS STATES AT THE CHECK.
WORST IS THEY HAVE WRITTEN AN DISCLAIMER THAT THEY ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE TO BAGS. WITH THIS WE HAVE TO KEEP OUR BAGS AT THE COUNTER.
WORST IS THAT THERE IS NO SECURITY CAMERA FIXED AT THE PARKING LOT TO KEEP THE BAGS IN OUR CARS.
IN ALL THIS TUSSLE, I WAS NOT ABLE TO...
Read moreThe first 3D planetarium in India, in a very beautiful planned place for science enthusiasts. The planetarium is located in Pilikula, and can be reached easily from Mangalore. There is ample parking space and maintained very well. Make sure to reach well in advance as at times there is long queue for tickets and also the distance from parking to planetarium is around 10 to 15 minutes walk. If possible, try to book tickets online a day or two in advance, as we saw people not getting ticket due to tickets being sold out. The 3D experience was amazing, very realistic and once in life time experience. If you have visited planetarium before, this 3D experience will make you feel even better. Though I did not like the show "Dawn of the Space Age" as I was expecting more of current or future space or universe related show and not about space history(which is already known). The show is good for kids as they really get fascinated by the really time 3D effect of space craft and the space. We had a very good experience and I would strongly recommend to visit this place especially if you have...
Read moreThe planetarium was good. Kids would enjoy the show but only if they provide them with the glasses for their age. The biggest concern is there is no seperate 3D glasses for kids. Kids have to wear the same glasses which is given for adults, which is very irritating for them because they are not able to wear it because it's too big for them and hence cannot watch the show and cannot enjoy the show. When the ticket is charged for kids they should also provide seperate glasses for kids and everyone knows the glass is expensive but the way it is told we were scared to even wear it they made it seem like that. Checking the glasses once we return it and they allow us to exit only after checking it thoroughly. But they don't check it so much when they hand it over to us. Kindly resolve...
