Veli tourism Village is a beautiful picnic spot in Thiruvanathapuram city.It is just 12 km far away from Thiruvanathapuram city.Lulu mall and Shanmugham beach are the nearest Attraction.If you coming via train kochuveli railway station is the nearest railway station you can there for this three Access. Coming to the Veli tourism Village,I know this since 2000.From then and now it has been developed so far.Its Entrance itself has a Good infrastructure.Veli tourism Village consist of Children's park, Beautiful garden,Man made Sculptures, Floating bridge,Beach side, different types of Boating ,Toy Train and Horse ride.The Park entry fees cost around Rs20.You can have full picture of park and beach side by Toy Train ride,It cost around Rs50.Try to reach between 3 pm and 5pm to get slot for Toy train,It is operated in different interval and they have number of people to go on.This park is Situated far away from Thiruvanathauram city in rural area.This park has a beautiful cafe where we get evenning Tea Coffee.It also has Kettuvalam Restaurant where kerala cuisines have been served.And on the beach side you can have Horse ride and kite Flying and mini shops for purchasing.If you come with kids it will be great for them to enjoy a lot.This park is mainly designed for both Adults and Kids.park Timing is from 9a.m to 7pm.Best time to visit is from 3pm to 7pm but if you need a toy train ride reach between 3pm and 5pm.I like the Toy train concept it is well designed look like absolutely real It has Railway station,Signal, Tunnel ride and also Floating bridge ride. If you are in Thiruvanthapuram city or coming to Thiruvanathauram city Make use of Veli Tourism village.It is an Excellent weekend destination.Parking facility is little bit far away from the park.Try to come early to Explore every activities.You can take nice photos it is a beautiful photogenic place.Msn made Sculptures and infrastructures are Excellent.

Perfect place for a family to spend time together.The place contains kids park, mini train ride, snack shops ,restaurant,medows,beach, boating in lake etc with not much money and not much nuisance . Two parking grounds are there and both are paid. Parking fee is 20₹ for cars ( upto 7 hrs something, not sure). Entry fee 20₹ for adults and 10₹ for childrens between 5-12 years old. ₹10k for serial shooting , 30k for movie shooting. Fee is there for other shootings also. Now,I will explain it with pro's and cons: Pros: 1. Parking space available 2. Less entry fee 3. Lot of things to see and enjoy 4. Situated in the banks of Veli lake and close to Veli beach. 5. Even though far from the city, transportation to reach this place is available. Private and government buses, auto rickshaws and taxis are available. 6. Security guards and CCTVs are there. 7. Toilet facility is also available. 8. Entry fee is accepted as both online and offline payment modes. 9.Although not far from the city, away from the hustle and bustle of the city Cons: 1. Parking space will become not enough on weekends and holidays. This will lead into parking on the road side. This creates traffic. 2. Pathways inside are broken and muddy. 3. Some stray dogs are there inside of the village I guess no authorities are taking care of that.also, no issues heard regarding this. 4. Some of the play equipment got rusty and collapsed 5.There is a lack of cleanliness. 6.Toilet is not clean but need to pay extra money. 7. Feeding room for babies is not available 8. The surrounding area is forested and Garbage has been thrown away there. 9. Lot of mosquitos in the evening time.

Veli Tourist Village is a great picnic spot located in Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala State of India.😊 The Veli Tourist Village which lies where the Veli Lake meets the Arabian Sea provides for unique boating and picnicking opportunities. Visitors can hire pedal boats or paddleboats as per their convenience. One can also roam the gardens and have a nice picnic or choose to employ the boats for the entire duration of the trip. 😊The view and feel of the place is extremely unique, considering it is merely 12 kms from the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram. 😊Children are known to have a lot of fun climbing the sculptures here and the speedboat ride across the waters. A separate Children's Park and Floating Cafe run by Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) are added incentives to visit this unique village. Shangumugham Beach is also located nearby the village. Apart from boating, swimming facilities are also available,and food stalls are there.
