Flotilla KTDC Veli — Restaurant in Kerala

First of all Restaurant Appearance changed a lot..and name also changed to "FLOTILLA" but I don't see any sign of KTDC with the restaurant Name, people want to know it's run by Kerala State Government and It is Under Budget....Because i was a regular visitor here before renovation..After the renovation first time i am visiting the Restaurant for a quick bite. ambience was superb with fully wooden appearance.. There are 2 floors Both floors having good seating facility and baby high chair also available. Neat and tidy washing area .But i don't see any bathroom facility here..If it is not there management have to consider about it.. Then,the most attractiveness is the view from the restaurant, better visiting time is evening in my opinion. I ordered some shakes and puff's ..It was tasty and served with in 10 mins.(don't expect on rush time).. Service was good compared to the old one..It is located inside the Veli Tourist Home Village..And can't notice from a traffic road.. It’s a floating cafe located on the veli lake, near to the loading bridge which connecting veli park with veli beach side. It’s basically a two story floating building with superstructure build in quality wood and substructure as floating foundations. The structure tied by ropes it’s keep on the side of park. Currently due to maintenance the first floor closed and only ground floor working. The cafe management by KTDC, it’s a concept cafe on Kerala but still not utilising its full potential. The way to the cafe little tricky because it’s a floating structure and it’s always sinking by weight so for entry and exits little observation needed otherwise a one metre fall is sure. The ambiance and views from the cafe fantastic. Staffs are very professional. It’s very nice to view sunset form this cafe along with nice wind flow. This cafe closes around 7:30 pm. So best time to visit...

I was a regular visiter to flotilla and I used to suggest this place to many people because of its ambience and food. Now totally devastated by seeing the conditions at present. Service absolutely rubbish, no one to attend. Serving trays were without any tray mat and full of food waste.couldn't have anything because of the bad odour from the trays. I went and checked up other trays stacked up near service area in flotilla and even it was also in worst condition. Only KTDC can run a place like this, its a shame who ever manages this here. I will not suggest this...
