Bapu Pool — Attraction in Nashik

Param pujya asaramji bapu maharaj ashram. Located on the bank of godavari gave its name to the bridge what was constructed beside it. hence the name : Bapu pool. The bridge led to nowhere essentially as the area wasnt developed then, and the nearest bridges in both directions already served well as those were better situated for the existing roads that incorporated them. So, a bridge with no traffic connecting to a long and vacant clean road leading nowhere, just 5 minutes from the most happening place in town -college road. and on a river bank. Its paradise for smokers and lovebirds and riders alike!! 😄 Then the development started, NMC beautified the bank into a park and walkway👍. The ashram went through some changes and began to let the premisses for functions. 👍 Large party/event venues developed in close vicinity and voila! You have "the SPOT"! 😎👍 Puffs and rolls (cafe/snacks bar) opened up on a corner. A 2-3 other establishments followed at safe distances, taking advantage of the quiet location. But Puffs n Rolls remains the best yet.😚🍔🍟🍮🍕🍰🍨🍩🍹 There used to be trees along the bank of which the walkway had kept untouched, but the monsoon of 2016 pushed the water level to a very critical high, and that caused a lot of damage😕 ...uprooting trees and also damaging some of the concrete and brick work😞. the restorations have been just marginally successful. 😒 A few little kiosks pop up occasionally, the chana jor-garam wala is regular here. Although, stunts on bikes are discouraged by the police for safety reasons and very late nights on the bridge itself are a bit risky. Never the less it remains a good place to chill out and have a stroll and grab a bite or ...date, if thats the situation. (within reasonable hours and boundaries of law, of course. 😁) Tip: if you smoke or want other types of food like Chinese or Mughlai or such, there are no shops or restaurants there. Location: Well located in one of the most happening places in Nashik for the youth- Bapu pul. That area is picking up good pace in developing as one of the posh localities in the town. Interiors: A good hangout spot which has a clear and serene view of Godavari river. The ambience and decor fits perfectly to the hippie culture that the city is developing.
