Sarovar Vihar — Attraction in Navi Mumbai

It a good place in Belapur. Near CBD Belapur Railway Station Road, people can come here with kids. Also many people come her for walk and jogging. Municipal authorities have maintained the place well and also arranged exercising equipment’s. This place is renewed recently by Navi Mumbai Municipal corporation.

In the corner end of this place there is a small jetty of local fisherman. On the other end it’s a junk yard or and abandon place where you can see some old and junky machinery and boats. Many people prefer this location for photography purpose.

This place is located beside a small creek. It gives a nice view during sunsets. Also restaurants and cafe like Cafe Coffee Day, Dominos, Rainforest etc are located around this location.

Sufficient benches are available for seating. Place is kept clean. Garden is well maintained. Trees are planted to keep the surrounding green.

Besides this place there is small port of costal guards, where hovercrafts are parked. This is a restricted area. Even photography is strictly prohibited here. You may lucky get a chance to see the hovercraft running over the water.

If you visit here, do keep the surrounding clean.

This place is by the bay so their are lots of mangroves here. During evening hours lot of mosquitoes bite. This one thing is very irritating, you cannot seat idle on one place if you want to avoid...

It once used to be a lively place where ferries used to go till Gateway of India. That was a quite a journey, in fact, it could have proven a viable alternate mode of transport than the heavily burdened Mumbai Suburban Local train option.

But since its closure, this is more of a selfie point today while morning and evening joggers throng here for some quiet time. This also have sitting area and couple of public toilets too. The place is well maintained and you can drop in here for some "me-time" and introspection,...

My close relative's 10th day rituals were performed at Sarovar Vihar.A well planned place arranged on the bank of a creek by NMMC for such rituals, last rites. It's most suitable becoz birds, especially crows are very much there. Ambience's very pleasant. Most important : Toilets, though present are most dirty, filthy need regular cleaning.
