Biju Patnaik Park is situated in the city of Berhampur. This park is dedicated to the great leader and many times chief minister of Odisha, Shri Biju Patnaik. It is a beautiful garden park spread oven a huge area of seven acres of land. This park is built and maintained by Berhampur Development Authority. It is one of the most beautiful place of the city with a musical fountain, a floating mountain and beautiful flower garden. A pavement goes around the park with manually trimmed and shaped ornamental plants on both sides. A boating amusement inside the park is built for children. Localites visit the park often in the evening to have a relaxing time amidst beauty of flowers and ornamental plants. It is a good place to refresh yourself from the busy city life. At night the park is illuminated with beautiful lamps. The park charges nominal entry fee for visitors. Entry for children below five years is free.

Read moreAs this park is established around a bandha(pond) and its not just a normal pond, it is a pond where all the drain water or the waste water resources re utilisation is going on. They using the waste water for fishery and gardening. The point is this is the largest park of berhampur. And I think apart from the crowd the place is very greeny, fresh air you can get but as it is near the main road pollution level is high. And in the child section the dust level is sooooo high( not recommended for winter seasons and asthematic adults and kids.) ... Enterace is beautiful, parking is available, tiny toy shops, chat pata foods, balloons etc... On the right side you can find a toy train and my kids loves that so much. And turning to the left side you can statue of BIJU PATTNAIK and the fountains need more attention s as they go through damage. Boating facility is there... But don't touch the water plz... As it is drain water.... Sundays are like jatra.. Avoid to go on last Sundays.... Over all...

And possibility of corruption during entry as same entry tickets are being given repeatedly (after you give the ticket to the gatekeeper, he will retain them without tearing them, subsequently transferring them to ticket counter. You will get your answer whenever you buy 4-5 tickets and they are not at all in sequence). In the train ride, they are not even giving tickets although taking Rs 20/- per adult.
